Gennady Petrovich Kotelnikov, Winner of State Prize of Russian Federation and the Prize of Russian Federation Government, Academician of Russian Academy of Medical Science, Honored Scientist of Russian Federation, PhD, Professor, Head of the Chair of Traumatology and Orthopedics.

He is also the Chairman of The Council of Rectors of Medical and Pharmaceutical Institutions, the Chairman of Samara Regional Rectors Council, Member of Samara Regional Collegian Board of Administration of Samara Region, Vice-President of Association of Traumatologists' and Orthopedists' Association of Russia, the Chief Editor of «Senior Generation» magazine, Deputy Chief Editor of Russian journal «Annals of Traumatology and Orthopedics», Deputy Chief Editor of Journal «Traumatology and Orthopedics in Russia».

He has published 385 scientific papers including 6 monographes, 4 textbooks, 6 manuals, 7 mono thematic collections of scientific papers, 27 inventions.
