Rules of admission to the university

The information about the Articles of Samara State Medical University, license for educational activities, State Accreditation Certificate for every faculty qualifying for the award of State Certificate (diploma) of Higher Professional Education; the main curricula for higher professional education implemented at Samara State Medical University and other documents regulating the educational process and the work of University Admission Office can be found on the official Web site of Samara State Medical University.

Prior to accepting applications the Admission Office of the Samara State Medical University announces:

Not later than February 1st:

• annual rules of admission to the University;
• the list of specialties or faculties (according to the license for educational activity) to be chosen by the enrollees;
• the list of Admission Tests in liberal arts consistent with a chosen specialty or faculty according to the Admission Tests Register approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation, order number 365 dated November 28th, 2008 (registered by the Ministry of Justice December 19th, 2008, registration number 12898);
• the list and form of admission and certification tests for people who have higher professional education;
• the list and form of admission and certification testing in the second year of study, etc.;
• specific features of admission testing for applicants with disabilities;
• time limit for taking the Uniform State Exam by people who has not taken it; the dates are fixed by Federal Education and Science Control Service.

Not later than April 1st:

• the form of admission testing for people mentioned in the subparagraph 1.3 of the present Application Rules;
• Program of Admission Tests to be taken at the University, the rules of admission testing.

Not later than June 1st:

• the total number of spaces for the first-year students at each faculty;
• the number of state-financed spaces for the first-year students at each faculty;
• the number of target admission spaces for the first-year students at each faculty;
• the number of spaces for the first-year students who are to pay for their education;
• the rules of admission to a single faculty, a group of faculties or the University as a whole subject to the coincidence of admission tests;
• the rules of making and hearing of admission or certificate testing appeals;
• information about the available student hostels and the number of seats for non-resident applicants;
• sample copy of contract for the students who will pay for their education.

Not later than June 20th:

• the documents confirming positive results of the Uniform State Exam in core liberal arts, the latter are registered in the list of admission tests for each faculty (both state-financed and payable departments) consistent with Educational Program for Higher Professional Education;
• time limit for certificate testing in the following years of study;
• the number of vacant state-financed spaces for admission on the second and the following courses of study on each faculty.

The Admission Office of Samara State Medical University is obliged to inform applicants (who has personally handed the documents and has no results of the Uniform State Exam) about the registration office in order they can take the Uniform State Exam in additional time in Samara region.
